Oh Deer!

Our sweet and very pretty Acura had an unfortunate run-in with a deer. We are always on the lookout for these amazing creatures as they love to frolic in beautiful Powell, Ohio. But it appears that even with our caution it was inevitable. One evening Jason was driving home from Lewis Center (maybe a 7-minute drive) and it was a dark and wooded stretch of road. What appears as minor front-end damage was actually about $4k in total damage due to bent mechanisms under the hood. We believe the deer is ok, Jason is definitely ok and we are very grateful the girls weren't in the car.

And the story continues...
We drop off the car to start the repair and Enterprise ("We pick you up!") was there at the body shop with our rental. On our way home from work that same day, Jason and I are in an accident in the rental! We are stopped at a light and *boom* we are hit from behind. The claim is resolving but we were pretty upset at first. It was a good jolt, a BIG hassle of dealing with rental company vehicle damage and that the responsible party was trying to change her story and attempt (!?) to place some blame on us. We were a little down on our view of society, but we reminded ourselves that we're ok and again, the girls weren't in the car. Thankful!
